Palm Sunday Jesus Arriving at Jerusalem

Giving thanks in advance, I come to YOU, Lord, as today is Palm Sunday. Just as you rode that young foal into Jerusalem, I continue to ride the waves of life gently.

It amazes me (but then again, perhaps not) that Your Father’s discernment to ask for two donkeys allowed your peaceful entrance into the Holy City. He knew that if the foal’s mother were at its side, it wouldn’t be spooked by the faithful’s joy and shouts of Hosanna! Hosanna!

I, too, am on a pilgrimage of faith, as I once shared with my dear prayer warriors. We have diligently tried to meet for the last two or more years. We do so at my home, someone else’s, or a public eatery (our favorite, ha!). As we share each other’s trials, tribulations, and joys, our love for you and each other strengthens a bond that cannot be easily broken.

As we begin this Holy Week, allow me to cry to you as David did in Psalm 39:12. Allow me to sing praises of Hosanna! Hosanna! Allow me to humbly and proudly place my cloak on the ground, wave my palm branch, and praise your Holy name, Jesus, as did my Jewish brothers and sisters more than two thousand years ago.

Allow me to thank you in advance for your passion, which, by week’s end, will be on display for the entire planet to witness—not with their eyes but with their hearts.

"You must make a sound and firm resolution to submit yourselves totally to His will, and with a lively and steadfast faith, to receive from Him what you have to do for love of Him. And in this (whatever may happen) to persevere with constancy to the very end." ---St. Angela Merci

Holy Week is indeed a special time in the Christian life experience. Today is the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. I am thankful for Jesus entry into Jerusalem this Palm Sunday more than 2000 years ago. Jesus is the reason for Easter season. No one has the same pilgrimage journey. One must embrace the Christian pilgrimage for himself/herself. It can be done with assistance and guidance of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I cry out Hosanna Hosanna!!!!!!! Happy Palm Sunday my friends and remember the reason for Palm Sunday.

    1. Amen Matthew and thank you for sharing your thoughtful comments. Hosanna! Hosanna!
