Good morning dear readers, as I meditated this morning, listening to this sermon prompted me to share an experience with you.  We are living in tumultuous times, yet God will never abandon us.  I am convinced that God speaks to us through dreams, murmurs, and visions.   As I was engaged in a session with a teenager yesterday, we were discussing “God’s will-versus-our will.”  She was sharing her faith as I was sharing mine and “all of a sudden” our screens began to flicker, strobe, and we were both blinded!

Now, I’m not naive and I’ve had Internet connectivity issues before; but this was a different scenario.  Her eyes widened, she smiled greatly, raised her arms, and asked, “Wow, that was God, wasn’t it…He was trying to tell us that it is HIS will, not mine, right?”  She was emotional and asked if she could hang up because she couldn’t focus due to the strobing that continued for about 15-20 more seconds until we hung up.

“Absolutely,” I said.  I too needed time to process what had just happened.  A young teenager’s faith (along with her therapist’s beliefs ) had just been tested and was clearly evolving.   All I could do was smile and thanked God for another whisper from heaven.

We eventually  finished the session a few minutes later and I asked her to write down her thoughts after this experience we both shared.   My teenage client C.L. wrote:

“As Dr. Mascorro and I were finishing our conversation on Our will vs. God’s will, my screen had suddenly flashed green and purple. We both looked at each other and were saying, ” It’s a sign”. It was like God was saying “Ding Ding Ding! You have the answer!” We logged off and got back to finish the session. We both have never had that happen to us before. We were like ” That’s never happened! It’s a sign!” I felt a sense of relief and happiness during that moment because we both knew that it was a sign. That was definitely a good way to finish the last session.”

My heart smiled and danced once more!

God is the same yesterday, today & forevermore. Bishop Jakes said it best God is always Loyal. God (Jesus Christ) will never go back on His Word. What He says will come to pass on His timeframe, not our timeframe.

    1. Thank you Matthew for your thoughts!

This put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart

    1. Yes Tina, she sent me this regarding her experience which I will update on the post.

God has a way of speaking to us. The question is Are we listening? It is very important to listen to what God is communicating to us.

Let me share with you my own story of when God spoke to me and a friend.
I have a very lovely “Our Lady of Grace” statue made of concrete in my front yard. I bought it almost 25 years ago at a Nursery. The detail is very fine. A friend admired it greatly and began a quest to find one to purchase herself. We quickly discovered such statues are simply no longer available. We searched for more than SIX months in person and online at Nurseries, Big Box Store and Specialty Retailers fruitlessly. The best we could do was a very few costly (high three figures) examples. Then, late this past October I rented a vacation property about 30 miles north of Uvalde and 20 miles west of Garner State Park. I invited my brother, his wife and their two adult children. On the drive up I happened to past a nursery in Uvalde and stopped hoping this nursery would have concrete Madonna statue only to be disappointed yet again. Our stay at the property was for three days. The first two we enjoyed our private dock on the Nueces River, swimming, fishing and kayaking. My sister-in-law did not participate since she does not swim at all and has a fear of the water. The next to the last full day during a conversation with her I happened to mentioned the quest for the Madonna statue. The next day was initially planned to be a very picturesque drive through the famous “Twisted Sisters” roads north of Camp Wood & Leakey. However, my sister-in-law pushed hard to instead go antiquing in Uvalde. Out of a spirit of compromise and because she hadn’t participated in the water sports we drove to Uvalde and arrived just as the shops were opening. This was definitely my sister-law’s day and the rest of us were just along for the ride. We went through three stores without seeing anything of interest before arriving at a final antique store directly across from the town square. I spotted a selection of large pieces of petrified wood and stopped; my brother and his wife continued on. Suddenly she came back to where I was and said “Ludivina! Come Look!” I followed. There, sticking out conspicuously among the displays of old costume jewelry and knickknacks was an absolutely beautiful, large concrete “Our Lady of Grace” statue. It was nearly identical to mine but a good 6” taller with a price tag of $85. My mouth dropped open in shock. I excitedly called my friend 300 miles away to tell her the good news. She was thrilled. Being quite heavy, 60lbs plus the proprietor brought out a dolly so we could wheel it out to our car. I asked the man about the piece. He said they had only obtained it late the previous day and had put it out on the floor that very morning! He added they seldom get statues like it snd when they do they sell quickly. Friends, my head was buzzing. I knew I had seen the Lord, my Savior in action and He had placed me in the right place and the right time to honor His Mother. The Madonna is presently in the back yard of my friend’s home greatly admired already and just waiting for Spring to be properly surrounded with rose bushes.

    1. Wow, this is truly an inspiring story for all of us Ludi. Thank you so much for sharing. If you allow me to, I’d like to share this with others as I draft my follow-up book to Angels. 😉

Yesterday we went to walk at the park. We were feeling a little moody as a family. I was a bit down. The kids were running and playing. I was quiet trying to enjoy the scenery. It was about 5 or 6. It was getting dark. Giuliana and Giselle were running ahead of me kind of in a line. They did not see the rosary. Suddenly, I kneel down, and I lose my breath, not because I was sick or sad, but because I came across a glowing rosary on my path at least I believed that it did. I picked up the rosary, held it near my heart, and
cried. Memo got scared to see me hurdled on the ground and asked what was wrong, and I said it’s the Holy Spirit in me. When I wanted to remember my sadness, I got a sign and was reminded that God is always with me 🙏

    1. Yes, He is constantly. We just have to be vigilant and aware all the time. Thank you for your comments and be well and safe.
