This love letter was written on July 5, 1936.    This young man tells a then 16-year-old girl, that he can no longer withhold the affection he feels for her.  He tells her respectfully that she inspires him, that he admires her character, that there is “something” about her that calms his restless mind.   He tells her she is beautiful and that he hopes he won’t be mistaken by her feelings towards him.

He signs the love letter trusting that her response will calm his passion.

This man was my father, Eugenio asking my mother Manuela,  to be his girlfriend.  Thankfully for me,  she said “YES”.  They spent 71 years together and lovingly bore 11 children who to this day, respect, admire, and revere each other with the same passion as theirs.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all.

And it began…and we are here!

Their LOVE was like no other…pure, respectful & one to be admired! Never did I see them argue or disrespect each other and always show nothing but love to each other and us as well…

Because of that letter…we are here!

    Miss them everyday…

    Thank you for sharing Maida!

    Love you.

    1. Amen to that Pimp…A love letter indeed…love you….

What a treasure to have. I hope future descendants treasure it as much as you do.

    1. I do too Ludi, life leaves us many treasures that at times we don’t value until it’s too late. I decided to do my part in continuing with their legacy….xx00xx
