It is the last day of 2017 and Dr. Kelly is home.  She so enjoys her daily meditations, her coffee, her oatmeal, and the study of the Word with Matthew.   It is a glorious day and she is content.  The trip to Dublin was successful, she has a newfound freedom in knowing her true identity, and she looks forward to the coming New Year with its endless possibilities.  There is no hesitation in knowing who she is now.

Tonight will be a regular night for her.  Today she will write, enjoy football, and be thankful for the past year.  Her eyesight is amazing.  A few pesky floaters about; yet she imagines them to be her angels spreading their wings and protecting her always.  She will no longer fear.  Her oldest sister Meli asked if she wanted a Chihuahua.  They are 5 days old now.  She will think about it and yes, perhaps get one.  That would be fun!

She has enjoyed this past week off, spending time with her sister Martha, taking care of an eye appointment, and just rested.  Her sistafriend Mary Ellen texts her as she writes:  “Good morning sisters…or should I say good night…had only a few hours of sleep…up by 6 a.m…my legs were very restless…so decided to do laundry and bake…will take a long hot bath…meditate, maybe a nap to be awake by 12 noon.  Have a great end of 2017…can’t wait for this year to end…and receive the New Year…New me.”

Yes, not a day goes by that the sisters don’t text.  Group, individual, pictures, whatever it takes; yet they text daily and keeps them grounded and protected.  Mari sends them a picture of the last sunrise for 2017 in Searchlight, Nevada where she resides.  Rosie, just having come home from her night shift at a children’s center wishes them a good morning/good night.

Dr. Kelley writes.  She is not sure where her second book will go; yet she loves writing and writing she does!  The Daily Word today reminds her that she is Protected:

“At times I may have felt unsafe and sought safety, but I understand that the Lord of my being

Provides the well-being I need.  That certainty is a consistent reminder throughout the Bible,

Deuteronomy 31:6 ‘It is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake

you’ to Romans 8:31, ‘If God is with us, who is against us?’ As I enter into the new year, I

remember and give thanks that I am protected and loved.  I also welcome the opportunity to

be a source of love and nurturing for all living beings and for the planet itself. By being an

extension of God’s protecting presence, I affirm and strengthen my own sense of security.

I am grateful for the protection of divine love.”

“Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.”

                                                                                                                                    –Isaiah 1:17

There are many questions that some of us have, she thinks, yet at times even she is afraid to ask.

1) Does God really care about each and every one of us individually?

2) Will war and suffering on Earth ever come to an end?

3) What happens to people when they die?  Is there any hope for the dead?

4) Once a person is dead, can they be redeemed after they are no longer in a mortal state?

5) Does God really hear us when we pray?

6) Is there a best way to pray to assure that God will listen?

7) What is the secret of happiness in this life?

8) What is the meaning of life?

Perfect transition from the first book to the sequel. You are definitely an author both heart and soul. God gave you a great gift and you are using it. Kudos! Looking forward to the continuing story (Dr. Kelly and Sarah are two of my favorite characters. If ever one person was both of them… well, wow!). More than anything, I’m looking forward to reading the answers to those 8 questions. Any book that answers those in a highly meaningful manner is destined to become a bestseller for sure!!!

    1. Thank you Doc…compliments coming from an author as well! I am enjoying writing it and only wished I had more time to write daily. Still, it is a great challenge and one that I am meeting.
