As I woke up early this morning,  the day before Thanksgiving, I felt a prompting in my spirit: Is Thanksgiving biblical?   Of course, from my elementary years, I knew that the pilgrims began this tradition (together with the Indians) by thanking God for landing safely in America from Europe.    I remember my teachers asking us to make turkeys out of cardboard plates or to make festive hats out of paper mache.  Needless to say, my friends and I would “gobble gobble” all day.  It was as if we forgot how to properly speak!  Looking back, I remember our teacher covering her ears lovingly. We knew that soon we would be eating candy, turkey, and we would be out of school for a few days.  Yayyyyyy!

Sitting down for my meditation and prayer this morning as a grown and hopefully wiser woman,  I searched a few articles and I settled on this specific one.  I invite you to follow the link for your own perusal.  May you be healthy and blessed during this Thanksgiving holiday.  May you meditate on your own beliefs and truths. May God bless you abundantly.  For me, most importantly, I will focus on having a  thankful and grateful heart daily, not just on Thanksgiving.

“Un poquito Aqui, un poquito aca, un poquito de todo!” Feasting up at Guela’s was the best! Chit chatting, laughing, playing and eating away! Memories that will never fade away…

    1. Never will Pimp! Happy Thanksgiving, love, and kisses always.
