“Because of You, I Exist!”

Into this life you bore me…Manuela, born in 1920.

As did Paula, born in 1889 who bore you…

As did Maria Ladislada, born in 1855 who bore Paula…

As did Maria Cleofas, born in 1839 who bore Maria Ladislada…

As did Maria Dorotea, born in 1808 who bore Maria Cleofas…

As did Maria Gertrudis born in 1788 who bore Maria Dorotea…

As did Ignacia born in 1767 who bore Maria Gertrudis…

And Francisca who bore Ignacia in 1735…

And her mother Isabel who bore Francisca in 1683.

And others that came before them!

Not to mention my grandfather Argimiro’s mother,  Espectacion, born in 1863.

Who was birthed by Maria del Refugio born around 1843…

Who was birthed by Maria Ruperta born around 1820…

Who was birthed by Manuela born around 1800…

Not to mention my father Arnulfo’s mother, Adela born in 1874.

Who was birthed by Felicitas, born in 1854…

And her mother Sostenes born around 1827…

Who was birthed by Maria Eufemia born in 1804…

And finally, my father’s grandmother, Simona born in 1844.

Who was birthed by Francisca, born in 1824…

Who was birthed by Maria Juana born around 1796…

My gratitude is infinite…as are the magnificent heavens.

To the myriad of brave women who birthed my ancestors…

Weathering the elements, fighting wild boars and tall crashing waves.

Treacherous mountain peaks and low-valley marshes…

Hidden enemies about the unknown twists and turns…all to reach the promised land!

(Stemming from countries as Spain, Portugal, Indigenous Americas, European Jewish, Basque, England,  Northwestern Europe, Wales, and Senegal.)

THANK YOU!!!!

Because of God’s grace and mercy, you were molded into existence.

Because of you, I exist!

Woven together into a MIGHTY-WOMEN-OF- VALOR colorful and unique tapestry.

 Feliz Día de las Madres!

Happy Mother’s Day !

Beautiful post. I am grateful for my mother Rebecca Gillians Atterberry, whose womb I came out of on February 18, 1974 and she was conceived from the womb of Isabella Rose Gillians April 1, 1945. These women molded me and shaped me into the person I am today. They never gave up on me when I had my early struggles in my developmental delay (Autism Spectrum Disorder Level I. I love these women very much and I am grateful to have Rebecca Atterberry still be in the land of the living. Thank you mom and grandma for everything you do and the sacrifices you made. I truly appreciate it very much. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and to the mothers who have gone on to Glory in Heaven with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    1. Amen and thank you for your comments Matthew!!

Motherhood is a woman’s Highest Calling. It represents the ability to shape the Future. It is tragic so many view it as an obstacle to their “freedom” and choose to destroy the future in their wombs.

    1. Yes Ludi, thank you for your comments and God Bless!!
