“He will wipe every tear from their eyes…mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.”

This week’s Word is on Forgiveness and it could not have come (for me) at a more appropriate time.   As I watched the Supreme Court proceedings last night, I could not help but think of those families whose lives are being torn apart due to political motives.  Brett Kavanaugh, Supreme Court Justice nominee testified before the Senate committee Thursday, vehemently denying he ever assaulted anyone and lamenting that his name and his family have been “totally and permanently destroyed by vicious and false … accusations.” Earlier the same day, Christine Blasey Ford, who claims a drunken Kavanaugh tried to molest her at a Maryland house party in 1982 seemed credible in her soft voice.  Still, my spirit spoke otherwise and it has moved me to the point that when I think of some of the political ploys used, I become irate which is not my nature. I usually don’t comment on Politics nor is this post a declaration of my allegiance to any party.

The country has been in shambles for some time now and for me, it is despicable how much hatred is being spewed at our president.  I am not here to defend Kavanaugh nor Ford because I don’t know what happened 36 years ago and they too shall give their account to God one day. Still, I believe that the Bible clearly states that we must honor our president.

(Romans 13:1, NLT Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.)

I say this with total respect for people’s own beliefs: As I read some of the posts on FB the rare occasions I go on,  some of my family and friends spew their hatred at President Trump. They mock him, post pictures depicting him as a prostitute to Putin, a puppet, overlook our country’s booming economy, etc. etc. Still I love them and most importantly pray for them. Furthermore, some of the media finds any excuse and incident to trash him.  The list can go on and on.  It becomes clear to me that people and government officials (from different parties) clearly are not familiar with the Word and if they are they don’t care enough to follow it. I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat but a Conservative who adheres to the U.S. Constitution and the Word of God. It is a must that as Christians, we do all that we can to stop this hatred and hypocrisy and not add to it!!! But then I remember what the Word says and it is written that incidents as these will happen.  So what are we to do?  That is up to you.  I know that I will try to adhere to the Word as best as I can and be truthful, and transparent. I will speak of my Jesus who already knows our human frailty and who wants us to not only respect our differences, but most importantly: LOVE!!After all,  He has allowed this to happen so that we can look within our own hearts. Will you?

This is very thought provoking. We need to learn how to agree to disagree in a civil manner without hatred. Love defeats hatred every time. At the same, we need to follow God’s standards of love and forgivenes along with respect to others. We must not look down on others and toot our horns to feel we our better than others. For example, I am pursing my doctoral degree does not mean I am better than another person okay. I am human and I have flaws like everyone else. Only God has the power to judge and HIS JUDGMENT IS FAIR WITH JUSTICE. Everyone, I implore you to accept Jesus Christ into your life so that you will not be condemned eternally. The BIBLE makes it clear that if your name is not found in The Book of Life you will not enter The Kingdom of Heaven. God’s standards are The BEST to follow. In the words of Dr. Charles Stanley, we need to listen to God, trust God & Obey God.

Absolutely awesome and explains with celerity 50 of people of this nation that we are also fat up with the USA leader that now the rest of the nation has no respect to America.. if the United Nation laughed right @ his face for what he was saying about me… me… and me.. we had enough of his grandios ideation.. and yes.. he has divided our Country intentionally with his “ good old boys Country”.. well enough is enough and can’t wait for his term to be over and make America proud again .I believe in equality and justice for all! Blessings
